HLG600, no mods as of yet! What have you done to your car to get numbers (405hp)(435tq) like that?

My figures are flywheel estimates from the modifications done to the intake system (4% power gain over 389 hp and 420 tq stock). Hoping to get an opportunity to put that beast on the dyno and catch some rear wheel hp figures. The reason yours (figures) jumped out at me is that they were significantly higher than the stock flywheel estimates. Assuming the standard 22.5% transmission loss, your flywheel figures are about 408 hp and 484 tq. (1.225 X 334.5 and 1.225 X 396.5) Maybe MB grossly underestimated the car, or the car came with some work on it, because those are very high numbers for stock. Either way my friend, that is some serious power.

Helluva understatement Mark. Stock 480 hp instead of 420...wow.

Dual K&N Filter Upgrade. Actually, while on this topic, I have to say I was very impressed when I compared the new filters to the stock ones. The old ones were made of paper, and looked horrible and cheap. But the new K&N ones looked fantastic, fabric filters slightly oiled with metal mesh reinforcement. I double checked with my mechanic, showed him both filters, and he too was surprised. But I must add, are you positive that your car came stock (maybe a prior owner modified it)? Those numbers are fantastic...you're convincing me to take mine to a dyno.

HLG600, what part of Jersey do you live? I lived in Lakehurst, went to Lakewood H.S. and Pinebeach, went to Toms River South H.S.

I live in Bergen County. Also, to correct myself, I meant to say stock 480 tq in post #6 (response to RedMongoosE).

Peace
