what part is this?

ive been having some parasitic power drain after i turn off the car recently and i noticed a humming noise

i tracked it down to under the plastic cover for the CAN box in the upper right (drivers perspective) under the hood

its located right in front of the CAN box

the car is a 1993 500sl

2 SL with every Brabus mods available & Class A competition sound system
that could be the air pump for the power lock.........I could be wrong......My air pump for the power lock it in the trunk.........

can you take another picture........only this time zoom out......so I know which part of the engine bay it came from......

its located under that plastic cover that says battery in trunk
next to the OBD port

figured out its the heater water valve from

alldatadiy veryfies this

could this part cause a parasitic drain on my battery?
should it run after engine shutdown?
