Roll Bar
I have developed some cracks in the leather on my roll bar. Dont really know why.Polished it on Saturday, and noticed the irregular cracks today. I am not sure if it is the cleaning agent I am using. Question is. Can I safely remove it or have it removed by the shop for repairs without messing up any sensors.
Thanks
Thanks

roll bar
Thanks for the update. I thought there had to be sensors attached which sensed a potential roll over and activated the bar.

There are sensors somewhere on the assembly for the bar postion (up or down) but they are not located in the vinyl covering the bar. The sensors that control the bar activation are not part of the bar assembly at all (so I'm told), they are elsewhere in the vehicle and just signal the controller to deploy the bar when necessary.
