hey whats up man. as you may know i have brembo brakes on my 94 SL500, but they had to be modified. and the pad number that came with it were for mbz with not only ASR, but with ESP. so the pads diddnt fit. im a man who likes his sport driving i race a lot and canyon run a lot. i found a place near my home town that cusom cut breaks for cars. and now in my car, i have Carbon-Kevlar break pads (the same kind that are on the Ferrari Enzo). and in the past ive had ceramic, and then the OEM. for the ceramic worked well, but when they were cold, the had a tendancy to screetch a lot when stopping slow (like in traffic). and the breaks also seemd to fade a lot after very heavy breaking (but not nearly as bad as oem) and the Carbon -Kevlar breaks are awsome, but when the are cold, they dont seem to have good stoppng power (but who races with a cold car?) BUT the down side to having the carbon brakes are the cost, i think for the fronts, they are about 200, and for the rears, they are 190. so you must truly ponder if you want to spend that much on brake pads.

oh, and the ceramic pads are cheep, like 10 bucks more then OEM. so might as well go for them, and try them out.

I have the PBR Ceramics and they are awesome. Firmer pedal feel, feels like better stopping power, no squeaks, and hardly any dust. These aren't noticably different when cold like the different brand of ceramic on my truck which need some heat in them to stop the vehcile. Much better option then OEM.

If you are talking about rotors, I believe Zimmermann rotors are highly spoken of. Run a forum search just to be sure.
