Distance, depends on where you are. agentMurdoc, if you are in the Canada, then Hong Kong is miles away! Yes, you are right, I've had a lot of interest on Ebay from very far places like, Norway, France, the US and even the place where the sun don't shine much. You know where I am talking about b4mmy and capn'jasper!
Sort of good new to me, the Silverarrow top on Ebay sold for US$6000.
Com'on guys, just have a bit of fun!

I sold one last september (ideal time to sell a hard top?) and got one bid - £100 which was the reserve I set.
They DO NOT go for much than that usually.

This is why I only have a couple of sets left! Just look at these prices in the USA, expensive or what:

I totally agree with you TheV12pwr, I never use mine. Complete waste of time, don't forget the extreme weight of these things!
I find them noisy, hot & heavy. A pain to store all year round as well.
But, people without them seem to love them!?!

Hardtop
At the risk of interrupting this interesting dialog, I thought someone might be interested in the facts:
The value in this top is that it is from a Silver Arrow. The Silver Arrow was produced in one year, 2002. It's paint was silver metallic and is different from any other color produced by Mercedes. It is not the same silver as found on other MB of that year or any year. The panorama top came standard on the SL600 Silver Arrow, and was not available on the SL500. There were only -100- SL600 SAs produced. So, while the ebay market may not be the right place, this top is worth a few bucks.
