SL/R129: SL500 95' Small Lighting problemo

SL500 95' Small Lighting problemo
As explaned in the title I have the reading lights working fine but for some reason when I have the switch click over so that the reading lights come on when the doors are open..the lights won't come on?
but If I toggle the switch to manually turn them on they will come on no problemo. Now this problem started when I changed one of the reading lamps since one of the clips broke on the old on so it would just drop out of the ceiling. Since then I have had this problem. Any Help is Appreciated. Thank-you.

If the lamps come on with neither door, then you likely have a problem with the light unit -- either a switch or the circuit board. But if the lamps come on with the passenger door but not the driver door, then you probably have a blown diode in the seat belt warning module.
