Just picked up '97 SL600

Well, just picked up my mom's 1997 SL600. The car has 49k miles, hardtop (obviously), Polar White/two tan tan and tope/chocolate soft top. What a great car for her! The kick when you floor is pretty impressive-- it feels almost as fast a 996tt. There are two items I'd like to address-- one, are there any lowering applications for W129's? And two... where can I find a set of AMG Monoblocks (as the car has the "bottlecap" type wheels which will be used as a winter set w/ snows) from a venue OTHER than the dealer? The dealer prices are a bit of a rip-off... maybe a Mercedes salvage/repair place? Anyway... pics should be coming this weekend.

97 SL500
Tirerack sells AMG wheels (real and ASA replicas). Obviously, the replicas are much cheaper and ASA is a decent wheel. I have the 19" ST2 replicas (These look like the Sport wheels from the 97-98 MY, which I felt was more "true" on my 97) and they are holding up nicely after 1 year.
