Battery

I bought a 80a sealed VARTA battery recently as my standard one recently failed, and then I noticed it was dry. Thing is I have had this new battery on charge for almost 4 days now and the charger is not showing that the battery is ready yet. Anyone experienced this, or anyone got any advice?

Many thanks

I hope you mean 800a??? Is it really sealed or do the covers on top pop off with a flat tool??? Alot of "sealed" and "maint free" batteries have access covers to let you check and add water...if it's dry and won't charge normally then take it back and exchange it. When you take it off the charger and test it with volt meter, does it show 12v???
