The SL does not do 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds like the newer cars. But she still looks great & she can still make my heart flitter when I hit the gas ...

Sl500 R129 1999

I purchased my `99 Sl500 when I was 48, 8 years ago. This is the longest by far I have held on to one vehicle and I doubt I will ever sell.

I purchased our '99 SL500 when I was 46, 12 years ago. I have gotten over the itch to upgrade. Still looks good, fun to drive, solid as a rock, no large maintenance issues ... why change?

Yes correct my wife drives a Smart which does have full set of winter wheels and tyres supplied by Alloy wheels direct from Germany.but I have a 500SL 1998 and for my daily driving I have just bought a Fiat 500 pop. The best company I have ever dealt with Alloy wheels direct check on line they are just so helpful.
I also bought from them a complete set of Mercedes alloys and tyres for my 500. Got rid of the huge AMGs which were difficult to balance and if you ever have a puncture which I had there is nowhere to put the damaged wheel without getting rid of you passenger.

Im 37, my wife's 44 and we bought her '90 500sl a year ago. 129k miles and still her dream car from high school! Lots of looks still.....with her driving of course.....because when I drive it they just see a red blur go by!
