Center Console Glove box..

ok.. I'm taking suggestions for what to do with the center panel / glove box. I had the phone dialing pad removed since analog phones are no longer useful. Any suggestions?

If you decide to remove the box, try selling it on Ebay! I bought an older 500 SEC and wanted to add a console box. After losing bids on two, over a two month period, I found one offered that even matched my interior.
I won the bid but I had to give $260 for it. Looks great! And for me worth it.

So tell me, why does this car come with a dialing pad in the dash...AND... a phone in the center console ?

How do I remove BOTH of these phone devices ?

number pad in dash compartment

So, how do you remove the number pad? I have the handset out of the center console of my 97 SL500 but so far cannot get the other component out. Thanks. Ian

remove phone from center console

I got my phone out by simply disconnecting the q/d plugs and leaving them in the bottom of the bin. Now, what about that number pad in the top compatment, does anyone know how?

Do it like this

Take it to your local MB dealership, give them $450 and you get the original, factory look of the glove box and the center console back. No wires hanging out, and no holes where the mic and phone wires went. Worth it for a car like this.
