I'm looking for information from current owners like this one.
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ht=SpeedTuning
So I'm currently reading ALL of the posts after doing a Forum SEARCH for "SpeedTuning".

Take some of the posts with a grain of salt, especially from folks with such few posts.

Good luck!

I spent a few minutes searching the forum and also read mixed reviews. I just don't want to be the first to try this out on an R129 600.

I am assuming 429 hp is with a 100 octane tune. Still, it will be roughly a 30 hp gain tuned to 93 octane. That's hard to beat for $400.

Yup, I have it in my CLK500 and I can't find one complaint about it. I can go past 135mph and I gained somewhere in between 15-30hp (from the seat of the pants feel). Everybody who's been in it before and after the ECU upgrade has felt the difference. Its not THAT much of an increase, but for $300 its pretty damn solid.

The gains do seem exaggerated, unless they are maximum possible results with a 100 octane tune. You'd be surprised how much hidden power there is in modern day engines. Remember, the motor comes with all these limitations from the factory, with good reason too, since alot of people run regular in 600s. It's not going to be a shocking gain, but 5-10 hp with a quality tune is lowballing it.

I know what you mean HLG600....... I rather lowballing it, so you won't get disappointed if it don't gain 25HP....... but if it gain 5HP - 10HP it not bad for $325....... Lynns ask me a same question too and this is what I reply......

Hello, Lynns...... There no way a chip can make you gain 25HP....... A chip can make you gain 5HP - 10HP at the most.......If it true then Brabus would not go to all the trouble doing the B11 Performance kit...... This B11 kit gain only 34HP......
The B11 Performance kit come with tuning with two Brabus special camshafts. This system includes the following components: Brabus sports camshafts incl. special valve springs with special characteristic. The conversion is completed with a back pressured reducing metal cataylst system.
So what you think Lynns.....? I hope my information help you......

Yeah, some actual dyno runs would be interesting to see. I'll give them a call to see if they have any documented gains on MB V8's or V12's. A decent chunk of extra power at that price would be nice.

ok.....Talk to the guy that work at a performance shop..... He told me a modified chip don't increase HP & TQ for our N/A engine..... but HP & TQ come on sooner than stock chip...... "example a modified chip at 1500 rpm 45 HP & 45 TQ vs stock chip at 1500 rpm 25 HP & 25 TQ"...... Which make us think that our car move faster...... Remember power don’t come for free.... Modified chip will get bad MPG vs stock chip because power come on sooner than stock chip....... Overall peak HP & TQ stay the same...... Modified chip also take off the speed limiter....... as for supercharger and turbo engine a modified chip do increase HP & TQ because it telling the ECU to boost more psi into the engine.....which mean more air go into the engine = power........ hope this information answer to all the question......
