Question for SL600 owners

I'm usually in the w124 forum, but I have an information request from the SL600 owners, in particularly the Silver Arrow edition guys (and gals).
I've recently put the Silver Arrow brake package on my w124 cabrio pictured below. It then dawned on me that if I by chance get another flat, I may have some trouble putting on the spare that the car comes with because of the bigger brakes. What do the SL600 Silver Arrow cars have in them for a spare?
Thanks,
Joe

i just looked at an sl500 silver arrow last weekend, and it had a full-sized spare, but it was a black 5-spoke rim not of the type used as stock wheels on any model benz i've ever seen, but with what looked like a pretty healthy amount of brake clearance by the spokes.

I don't have a silver arrow edition, but mine came with a full size spare identical to the set of factory wheels. The only way to find out is to carefully try and mount the spare on. If it doesn't fit, you can always find a replacement on eBay.

Nice car, BTW.

they come with a 17" black spare [like vixapphire described, it's a black 5 spoke]. You could find them off most of the newer cars. My mom's 2001 E class wagon has the same spare. The AMG models [includes the Silver Arrow] needs a bigger than standard [16"] spare to clear the calipers [they are different between, say a standard SL600 and an AMG SL600].

I'm willing to bet that HLG600's spare is a 16" factory wheel.

Indeed it is. You know, at first, I couldn't stand the look of those wheels. But, after having them on for the past 10 months, they grew on me.

you wanna buy my stocks too? they're chrome, lol

the stock 16" SL rims will clear the AMG brakes ONLY in the REAR. Won't clear the front. You need the 17" spare.

the spare looks like this, but a 17" with a 245/45/17 tire
