aftermarket head unit

I'm wondering how much of a pain it would be to replace the Audio 10 in my SL with an aftermarket deck. I'm not sure which system I have installed. I have a BOSE amp behind the drivers seat, but the speakers aren't branded BOSE (as the were in my s500). The deck itself is the cassette model with the changer in the trunk, fiber optic running to the changer. Any idea if this is an easy to replace head unit or one that would require a complete rewire?

I could be wrong, but I think the CD changer is an Alpine unit. You might ask Alpine whether they've got anything compatible that would work on the MB fiberoptic protocol.

It's an 02.

I think now that the set up is the BOSE because the molding around the amp has bose on it. I was just used to the speaker branding in my w140
