I did a search and didn't run across this issue specifically...

It seems that - sometimes - my volume control knob doesn't work properly. I can turn it all I want with no result. Other times, I can barely turn it and it controls properly...Anyone else have any experience with this kinda thing?

I am having the problem for over 2 years. I tried to clean the volume control with electronics contact cleaner but it does not help at all. Still don't know what to do with it. I emailed Becker in Germany, and they said the dealer here in Hong Kong should be able to fix it. I planned to give them a call but keep forgetting. Let me try next week...

I had this problem on my 96 SL320, dealer subbed it out to a local radio shop who fixed the volume control knob, said it was super easy and to make it better NO CHARGE!!!!!!!

I will try to find my invoice to see if they mentioned anything specific.
