Look at this pic and explain me.
What is this ?? a crossbreed between a SL600 and a SUV ??
More serious ,i need some technical infos about the ADS systeme foud on the R129 SL600
I an particulary intrested in the variable ride height system.
I have roughly understood how the ABC and The AIRMATIC systems works.
If you want to have variable ride height , you need a FORCE that can lower or lift the car.
For ABC its an hydraulic pump
For Airmatic its an air compressor.
BUT FOR THE ADS WHAT IS THIS FORCE ???? HOW DOES IT WORK ?????
Any info is greatly welcome thank you very much .

Assuming nothing is wrong, it appears to be in the raised position...for driving over speed bumps and down angled parking lot exits onto level roads. The link below is a fairly detailed description of the ADS system.

SL600
Looks just like mine when you push the red button next to the up/down toggle, which raises it all the way.
It a real 600, just de-badged for whatever reason. You can tell b/c virtually no 500s came with the hydro/ads suspension, and of course from the 2-piece amg wheels. Those only ever came on 600s.
