Keep my 165K mileage SL500 or upgrade to 65K mileage SL600
Hello. First of all, I have owned my 1991 SL500 for about 6 months now. It had issues when I got it, and was very discouraged, until I found you guys, who helped me out a LOT! The car is running EXCELLENT now, and I'm very glad I didn't just sell it off again.
Now I have to make another decision - I recently - hastily - won an auction for a 1995 SL600 on eBay. See eBay item #280198193593. The final auction price was $9950,00.
It looks to be in good condition, and ONLY HAS 65,000 miles on it... Keep in mind that my current SL has 165,000 miles on it.
Now I have the option (technically, an obligation) to buy it, and sell the SL500, but I don't know if I really should... bidding on that car was a heat of the moment hasty decision. Either way, it does seem like a good deal - I mean, cmon, it only has 65,000 miles!
SHOULD I DO IT? IS $10,000,00 A GOOD DEAL? WHAT AM I GOING TO PAY IN MAINTAINENCE FOR THIS THING (I mean serious maintainence, not the 10 liter oil changes - I could care less about that.)? How do I find if the Hydraulic Suspension has been properly maintained? Thanks for the help guys (including past help!)!

I just got done dealing with a deadbeat bidder who jerked me around for a month on my SL600 sale, honor your bid and buy the car, or at least offer to pay for the relisting of the car on ebay, and dont waste the sellers time.

I saw this thread was being discussed at other forums... and some believed it was my sl600. For the record, I have never dealt with superchris.

I was selling another sl600 on ebay (a green one from Cali) and was dealing with a completely different deadbeat bidder (supposedly from canada) who promised the payment was coming for a month and nothing ever came.
Thats why I gave superchris the advice to either honor the bid or quickly let the seller know the transaction woudlnt happen , so as not to waste the sellers time.
