Interested in R129 SL
Hello everyone.
Im thinking of buying '90-'95 300/320/500 SL - havent found any other car that gives me such "i want this car!" feeling
What should i look out for, ive heard about wiring harness problems in 93-95 models, and electric roof is also prone to some problems?
How are the maintance costs? Is there big difference between 300 and 500 models? Atm im driving '89 Audi 3.6 V8 wich is pain in the butt to maintain, timing belt replacement costs almost 2000 dollars and transmission oil changes close to 1000 dollars.
How about fuel, guess 300 is quite efficient, 8L/100km combined or so? Dont think 500 can get that low tho. My audi can hardly go under 14 :S
Id really like the performance of 500 but im not really into 1000 dollar fuel bills every month
