Transport to Europe

We love our SL.

If we were going to Europe for 3 months + ... would it be worth shipping her over there for the European top down driving experience?

Thoughts?

It would cost about $ 2,000 to ship the car from Halifax to London.

Not bad.

I wonder what the value of a 1999 SL 500 is over in Europe?

Better than North America?

The current exchange rates and the current delay in pricing equalization would probably allow you to make money on pretty much anything you bought with US dollars and then shipped to europe, so I can't imagine a car would be any different.

There are other factors to consider, though, mainly that the instrument cluster etc. are going to have to be changed, and probably other things as well. That might eat up your profits.
