Hello everyone,
New to the 129 forums!
A friend of mine has an early R129 SL600. He wants to change them to the facelift mirrors cux the old rectangular ones don't flow really well with the lines of his bodykit (VITT, from Japan).
Does anyone know what mirror he can use? Can he use something from a R170 or W208 facelift?
Also, does anyone do LED tails for this car?

im fairly sure even the "new" 129 meriors need modifying to make them work to the "old" 129's

Do you have a picture? The mirrors look like they flow fine to me, maybe the bodykit is the piece out of place.

 

i too am interested as to what this body kit looks like!

lol, i dont think that we want to see the picks to "bash" his creation, i just wanted to see a damn body kit on a 129! haha, there are so few "modded" 129s out there.....

anywho, i think that the "new" 129 mirrors would look best, and would be the eassiest (to say the least) to install.

I thought so. However a fellow 129 owner told me that I would have to rewire the thing cux the mirror is wired differently. Moreover the mirrors are around $1.3k USD for the pair LOL I hope this will put him off it.
