SL/R129: drivers door window

drivers door window
Hi,
My drivers door window will not go up.I went out for dinner last night and on returning to my vehicle,started it,lowered the window and then it wouldn't go up again.I turned the ignition off,re-started it and the window worked again (went up) 2 hours later after visiting friends I jumped in the car,lowered the window but this time it won't go up even on a engine re-start. Any ideas would be helpful but I will have to take it to an auto electrician tomorrow (monday) thanks

There is a way to "re-index" the windows; procedure is on the owner's manual. However...driver's window switches are notorious for getting dirty, wearing out, etc. There is a "switch cleaner and lubricant" you can buy at auto parts stores...I have had good luck with it in the past...

Thanks for the answer, I took the car to my mechanic this morning,he is a mb specialist and he removed the switch,tried it in the passenger side and it worked ok,re-fitted it and the window worked fine again (dirty or bad connection).
I have ordered another switch just in case as they are cheap enough but we did have to re-set the computer so that the window drops slightly when opening the door and raises when closed. We did this by shutting the door,raising the window fully and holding the switch in the 'up' position for 10 seconds.
