SL/R129: Hard Top/Soft Top Problem

Hard Top/Soft Top Problem
At times, mostly after raising or lowering the soft top or changing tops, the red warning light in the top control switch plus the gong activate. This can happen while driving for no reason at all. I would assume there is a micro switch somewhere that is out of adjustment as when this happens the tops are always securely fastened in their locked position. Usually I can make the alarm go away by moving the switch fore and aft a couple of times thereby locking and unlocking the tops. Any suggestions ??
