DIY Brake Job
I read the post: Okay, the Brake Job: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w210/107227-okay-brake-job.html
So, I figured I could do that.
It turns out, for this car, if you don't need to remove the rotors, it's easy.
After removing the wheel (the hard part), of course following all necessary precautions, I found that the pads simply slip out of the calipers.
Remove the sensor connection, and the top clip pin, then the spring clip. Also, loosen the bleed, and put a collection tube on it. Carefully, edge a screwdriver between the rotor and the old pad (do the inside pad first), with the blade against the back of the pad, and the shank of the driver on the edge of the rotor. Push the pistons (front, single in back) back into the caliper. Remove the bottom pin, and replace the old pad with the new, (don't forget the anti-squeal paste on both sides) then do the other side (don't forget the sensor, and tighten the bleed). Replace the wheel - done !!!
This is a little simplified, but if you've done disk brakes before, this is the easiest yet...
