Smile r129 xenon retrofit help

HI, I completed a retro w/factory xenons on my 1999 sl500. Everything works but..cant find where to mount the ballast to the chassis for the rt. side. The wires from the headlight to the ballast are about 2-3 ft. long. Any reply will be helpfull. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply, I will look in the area you suggested and sounds right as the cable is long enough to reach. Again Thank You for the help!

To install the ballast on the right side, I think you have to remove (i just loosened) that side of the bumper to thread the ballast through into the area infront of the wheel arch. Someone has posted a diagram of where the bolts are to remove the bumber. A couple of bolts, nothing major but make sure you allign properly before tightening the bolts. I then removed the front of the wheel arch cover to bolt the ballast on. You may be able to access this area from underneath rather than taking the wheel arch cover off if you have some ramps, not sure about that one.

Don't forget to do the simple wiring bridge mod so the xenons stay on when you flash or go to highbeam because there is a lag on re-igniting. Really easy to do. Search for the instructions on here. Pete
