Mercedes 95' SL600 salvagable??

I have a 1995 SL600 with some front end damage. the front of the frame is bent, hood, fenders, radiator, headlights damaged. The engine along with the rest of the car is in great shape with only 57,000 miles. I don't know whether I should spend the money to repair or part out and start over. Anyone have an SL with a damaged rear end? How much is my engine worth?

Motor is worth a few grand. If the damage is mostly cosmetic and the chassis unaffected, then rebuilding could be an option. But if the damage is more extensive, I'd just part it out. If you have the time and patience, you'd probably end up squeezing more out of the car than if you were to sell it pre-accident.

Sad to say, you can buy running ones for under 10K.
I'd part it out; the interior parts alone will probably sell well.
