AMG GTC Roadster, E63s Ed.1, M8 Comp. Coupe
No way...
My personal opinion...
Similar to the SL73 from AMG you have a powerful engine on an older platform. Without question, they are great cars but can't compete with a new Mercedes with ABC suspension, like the new SL and the CL.
Value:
Resale value on a SL600 is already bad. The same is true for all V12's
Any conversion like Renntech's will further decrease the value and your chances to sell the car again.
$85K is also truly overpriced as you can buy a 98-99 SL600 for low $40K's, even with similar milages. How about a CL600? I have seen low milage 2001 CL600's with ABC and a V12 in the mid $70K. Definitely a much better car...

Thanks for the input, Wolfman.
I am leaning toward a new supercharged CL55, but when this car came up, its power and rarity intrigued me. The price is very negotiable, according to the owner, so I will be at least test driving it to hear that tuned V12.
A stock V12 Benz isn't going to cut it for me, power-wise. Very smooth and effortless, but the Renntech has an honest 600 HP under the hood, which may make up for many of its deficiencies compared to the newer Benzes.
