Cup Holders

Hello out there,
Just bought a 1994 SL600 hobby car in Excellent Condition
Q. Does anyone know where I can find a cup holder to replace the cassette storage area or does one even exist?
Thanks

Let me know if you find one. I've got a 95 SL600 that might need to lose it's cassette case.

When I ordered mine, It came from a dealer in LA. It was quite some time ago. Champion Mercedes, If I remember correctly. The parts guy was very helpful, he gives you what you will need to do the crossover to the cupholder, including if you want to relocate the ashtray to the place below the Head Unit. I'll try and look for part numbers but it has been about 8 years or more when i did mine.

Cup Holders

Please keep the info coming I plan on modernizing the interior ,(professionally of course) just enough to make it roadtrip friendly i.e. replace stereo, still has cassette tape deck!, find CUP HOLDERS, redo padding on both seats and replace hood pad to start.

Yeah the audio system in the 92 is awful. I changed my speakers out with the JL Audio 3-way system. They installed in the same places the original speakers were in, including the original speaker casings. Then I installed an ARC amp to power the speakers and replaced the head unit with a 6-disc Nakamichi head. Now I can drive down the freeway with the top down and still be able to listen to the stereo. I still need to add an IPOD connectivity to the NAkamichi, or change out the head unit once again to control the IPOD.

I'll ask my friend in the Parts Dept., for the part numbers of the cupholders and ashtray.

give these guys a call, they should be able to help you.

949-722-3616

They might have a website, but all I have is their number. They specialize in MB cup holders. Most dealers might not carry them anymore since they were not a factory item.

oops sorry looks like they may have gone out of business I will see if I can find another company.

oh here is the correct number 800-774-5537 try giving them a shot.

The parts I used were all original Mercedes. I'm just waiting for my friend in the parts dept to come back from vacation.

I have acquired the part pages that include the parts necessary to change a 95 and older with the newer 96 cup holder. Not sure if the older two part cover will work or if you have to replace with the one piece cover. Will lose the cig lighter of you can put the lighter in the eyeglass bin in front of the trans knob where it is in later models. The MB dealer faxed them to me so they are actually on real paper. If you want them sent, just post a fax number.
