2000 SL500 fault code 31 child seat sensor fix
Hello forum, Is it posssible that someone has posted a DIY to replace the senser that is triggering this code and causing my SRS light to remain lit? Also where is the most reasobnable place to buy the sensor (and perhaps a part number). My understanding is that it is a weight sensor that is like a sheet of film that breaks down over time. As no child seat will likly ever occur in this car, I would be ok with disableing it all together.I have been living with the light on long enough and it is the onlything about my SL that is not perfect (my OCD again!).
