I have plans to install an intercooler and a turbocharger, both of which I already have, on my 1991 300SL. I am doing this to enable the vehicle to achieve it's max speed at redline of 7000rpm in 5th gear. I am not sure of the top speed of the car due to the customizations I have done. I have installed the complete rear axle assembly is from a 500SL equipped with ASR. The rear differential final drive ratio is 2.45, which is a little bit higher than the original. Further I have replaced the 16" rims with 19" AMG wheels (2007 S63 AMG wheels), making the final drive gearing even higher. While I'm travelling about 75mph, vehicle in 5th gear, the RPM's are exactly 2000. If I theoretically have enough power to reach the engine's redline (7000), how fast would I be travelling max speed? Just wondering.

yes, Lotec and Mossleman both made kits, tons of people have custom made kits for the M103 as well.

EFI is almost certainly necessary for a custom kit as K-Jet is cranky and cant do much for power
