R129 SL600 ADS - bleeding system

I have an '02 SL600 SilverArrow and one of the hydraulic lines servicing the front struts has a slow leak - seems it is routed through a sheet metal hanger at the rear of the oil pan with only a cheap open cell foam grommet for protection - the grommet has perished and the hanger has made a tiny cut in the hose. The hose is readily available as a relalatively inexpensive replacement part (only $80), but I'm wondering if the system has to be bled after such a replacement (w/ $28/liter MB hydraulic oil, of course).

Does anyone know if the system is self bleeding, or does it need to be manually bled after a service?

It is not self bleeding and the procedure is not DIY.
