90-95 600sl
Hello again,
For those of you that don't already know, I'm selling all my cars and buying several that are more "practical." I have gone through so many different cars I don't even have the time to list them all, but no matter what I keep coming back to the W140's and R129's. So I am going to stick with it. I am probably going to buy either a 92-95 500sel or a 92-95 600sec (aka cl600/s600 coupe) for my everyday car. I took a test drive in a '95 s600 coupe last weekend, and I fell in love with it! However, my sensible side is telling me to buy the 500sel though so I don't have as high maintenance costs. I really like my '99 sl500 but it is just too new. I have been looking around at the early models (1990-95), and I really "need" a 600sl. I would use it as a weekend/cruiser/etc car so I am not too worried about maintenance costs. My question: how differently does the early model 600sl compare with a '99 sl500? I know it has a very costly v-12 and all but I am more concerned with how it feels. Does it feel heavy? These cars only have a 4-speed rather than my 5, so I'm sure that plays in as well, but how?
Thanks much
Rick
