I'm looking at buying a 1994 sl500 with 103k miles. During the test drive it ran fine at first, then we sat in a bit of traffic and it started to miss or shutter while sitting there. From that point on it would miss and lack power every time I pulled out, then it smoothed out. Looking at the engine at idle it would run smooth then shutter (the engine shook) like a miss and almost stahl, then smooth out again. The engine sounds very quiet, no taps or knocks.
Any body have a clue what this might be? a module maybe?
