SL320 sagging headliner
I store my hardtop in the shed in the summer and it looks like the heat has caused the headliner to seperate from the top. Can I use any spray adhevise to reattach? Thanks in advance to your help.

headliner fix
Spraying an existing sagging headliner won;t work
The foam backing has deteriorated.
You can remove and replace with MB parts, have osmeone do it for you,
or do what I did;
I removed the top, removed the handles, pulled off the existing liner vinyl,scraped off most the loose foam, soaked remainder in acetone and scraped off(or buy a 3m remover,
bought a new foam section by the yard at Jo Anne fabric( auto stores also sell the kits) and the headliner spray contact cement(or buy the 3M version) , cut the new liner using the old as guide, then glued the new one on.
In retrospect its easier if you remove he backer board--I did it the hard way--had to tape off the trim with painters tape.
Cost me $30 total and some time.
I changed color from grey to black. I really didn;t like the vinyl so mine is cloth backed by foam--softer.
Left off the handles.
Many choices.

glue to backer board
Hi!
The liner and foam are single piece if bought new.
I didn't try to remove foam from my original vinyl liner and then glue directly to the backer board.
Don;t know if it would work or give same sound reduction.
