FOR SALE / PART OUT 1993 Mercedes 300SL
hey guys,
its a 1993 300SL
it was my moms old car and was pampered in its years but since has been sitting in our driveway...shes in decent/rough shape...i'd give the car about a 5 or 6 out of 10
i'd like to sell the car as a whole for 6000 obo but if i fail to get a reasonable offer then i'll part it out
the car's engine was rebuilt by a mercedes specialist down here in miami. it has about 25,000 miles on the new engine and about 127k miles on the body. the engine runs great and car the drives smooth and straight. oil pressure is super strong and water temperature is perfect.
it has never been in an accident either, squeaky clean title
the only issue drive train wise is the idler pulley of the chain is loose so it rattles on idle (goes away once revving over idle)...that needs to be fixed before any serious driving
other than that:
-it needs a new wood piece over the passenger side seat controls and a few other bits of interior covers that have cracked from age
-everything of the roof works, but one of the hydraulic cylinders on the driver side needs to be replaced for it to function perfectly again...i believe i also have the OEM hydraulic fluid for it in the garage so that will come along with the car
-needs a new roof canvas
-needs a paint job and a dent on the hood to be fixed
