SL/R129: Can the 17" wheels form the 03 SL500 fit a 95 500SL ?

Can the 17" wheels form the 03 SL500 fit a 95 500SL ?
We put them on with the lug nuts I had holding the 99 style propller wheels in place and the wheels wobbled and did not seem to have the right fitment? Anyone try this?

Yor problem is the lug nuts. Up until 2002 the SL500 used a 12mm lug nut. For the 2003 model the lug nut increased to 14mm. That is why you are having the problem. The only way to solve this is to drill out your hub to accept a 14mm bolt, and buy new 14mm bolt to mount your wheels
