Factory Phone and CD changer issue
Guys,
I found this in the trunk of my R129 when I purchased it. It would appear to me to be the factory phone and my best guess is that it belongs where the sunglass compartment is. Can anyone give me any information on this and if were to be worth hooking up at all? (see pic)
Also, I have the multi CD changer and it appears that one of the cartridges is stuck and I cannot eject the magazine. I tried to force it back with a pick but it's engaged pretty good. Do you have any ideas on how I can try to fix this?
Kind regards,
Rick

You are correct, it's the dial pad for the phone and it fits in the eyeglass
compartment. Unfortunately it's analog without GPS so the cellular providers
won't hook you up. ( I know as tried a few years ago). I removed mine and hope to figure a way to fabricate a slide out GPS and XM radio for this compartment.

CD repair
I removed the changer. The MB "alpine" 6 CD changer is held by a bracket that has side fasteners. The wiring was lower side, but are all plugin's. Once the changer was on the bench the slide part of the CD holder had wedged into the slot. While when electrically connected the cartridge button does an excellent job of ejection the non electric release was mechanical, but not hard or heavy pressure.
While in that zone I R/R'd the antenna motor.
Hope your system was like my 94 SL600
