Dead Frozen Battery
I have a 1995 SL320. Its in storage right now, but its friken cold here.Anyway I went to start it,and of course the battery is dead and now probably frozen which means I will have to replace it.
My question is. Are there any special considerations I need to know about when there has been no power for some time, any resets or glitches I can expect,do's or don'ts. Thanks.

Make sure you take neg terminal off first and put it on last when fitting the new battery. I would advise using a Ctek battery minder to keep your battery in top condition when not in use. You may have some gremlins to sort out if some of the memory has been lost after the battery being duff for so long, but this can ususally be over come depending what happens if anything.

I hope things warm up for you. Being cheap I always assume a battery can be warmer up and with the new trickle chargers partially reversed. I, too am a fan of the CTek system.
Did the battery case split open from being frozen? What temps will cause a frozen battery?

When a battery is discharged the electrolyte is mostly water so it will easly freeze with temp below 32.
A frozen battery should be allowed to thaw at room temperature, then try to give it a charge. If it takes a charge and keeps it, then you dont have to buy another battery.
