Difficult to start when engine is hot

My SL500 seems to have difficulty starting when the engine is hot. Very easy to start when cold though. Anyone had similar issues?

If you need help, you should describe more details the symptoms. Also, the mileage and model year of your SL500 should also be helpful.

Without all those, my guess is either CPS or fuel pump/sensor.

If '90-'92 a failing fuel accumulator would be a good guess.

If it's a newer model I'd guess a sensor, but damned if I know which one.

You did notice I said "guess"?

BTW, please add model year to your profile. It makes a BIG difference as there are major differences in models.

The car is with the mechanic as we speak. He reckons the difficulty in starting when the engine is hot is due to two faulty fuel valves so the 2 fuel valves needs replacement as there was evidence of fuel leak in that area. I should be getting the car back in a day or two so I will update again.
