SL/R129: Carpet Piece Needed

Carpet Piece Needed
Hi all, new SL500 owner here.
I would like to replace the drivers side (and maybe passenger side) threshold panel on my car, this is the rail piece that goes alongside the seat.
Part number 129-680-01-35-7E14. One dealer in my area is asking $350, I haven't checked any of the others. I'm not trying to be cheap, but I'd like to shop the quote around a bit before I bite the bullet. I checked eBay and there's none on there.
Does anyone know a good source for a good used carpet rail?
Thanks!!

Carpet Piece Need
Look up Tom at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center.
Probably has it in stock. He got me door speaker grille
replacements that matched perfectly. Done.
Good luck

Finding a used piece of carpeting in reasonable shape may be tough. You can try Potomac Auto Parts (www.pgauto.com/) as they have a huge selection of used parts. Personally, I wouldn't hold out much hope since carpet color is really fairly specialized to the vehicle. Even then, we hope it's faded/worn similar to what's installed, otherwise it stands out too easily. Nevertheless, they might have something decent.
Alternatively, try asking the parts guy at your local MB dealer who they use to work on interiors. At least you'll have a contact that will do a good job and may have even more contacts to locate a used rail. If you poke around with the higher end auto upholstery shops in your area, you'll probably find one that may be able to replace the carpeting on your existing threshold rails. I had quite similar work done to a '79 240D and the shop (in Santa Clara, CA) did a fabulous job of matching a new carpet piece to the section being replaced.
Cheers,
Jeff

I'll try these sources!
I agree that it may be tough, but I did come across a few miscellaneous pieces on eBay so I figured it was at least worth a search. I'm normally against used parts, particularly electrical and hydraulic ones, but since this has no real function other than visual...I'd be open to it.
Anyways, thanks guys!
