1995 SL 500 folding/retractable side mirrors
I heard that this was a factory option from someone back in 1992 on the SL 500. I was wondering if it would be possible to put this on a 1995 SL 500. Is there a lot of wiring that needs to be done? what would it take to get this done? Could I use the switch from an E class to make the mirrors work? This is a feature that I find really cool and I would love to put it on my SL.
I have heard that this was available on the EU version of the car in 1995, would this make it easier to install them?

sorry for no replies! The Ford King Ranch has fold and retract. I have not seen on an R 129 nor any other MB's I have owner. I have had one broken off a 190 SL back in the 60's by a kid running through a parking lot. Yes it left a mark on the kid and a big dimple on the Benz. To the parents credit, he confessed and offered to pay from his paper route. I said his money wasn't enough and urged he help me repair the metal of the door and "junk yard" the replacement mirror. He also got several lunches out of the deal. He is now a grandfather, car collector and physician.
