oxygen sensor plug socket replacement

Yep- the pins and housing self-destructed during sensor replacement. The prt number appears to be 1295403581. How much of the center console has to come out and do I need any special tools to release the wires from the old housing? THANKS!!

Question answered. After removing the entire console assembly including the console shroud, pull back the Passenger carpet and there are 2 studs that secure in the socket plug in the driveline tunnel. Just make sure you note which wires are in holes 1,2 and 3. Not too bad, about an hour or so.

Bringing up an old thread

Hi All, I know this is an old thread, but I have this same situation. Went to change the O2 sensor due to terrible mileage/running rich and plastic pieces fell out when I removed the old one and the connectors are all bent(ill assume this is a present from the previous owner). Unfortunately, MB tells me this part is NLA in the US or Germany. I guess the only option would be to direct wire a universal? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks
Scott
