SL/R129: OutsideTemperature sensor
Thank you.
The outside temp sensor 'should be' mounted into a friction-fit bracket found on the front bumper, lower left/driver's side, in the vertical slats. The fitting is black, around 3x3". Near the center of the bracket you should see a small sensor tip protuding.
If the sensor and fitting are there, then the problem is a broken wire that needs to be spliced. Take the car back to the shop and let them do it; they broke it. It's very very common for shops to do this.
If either the sensor and/or the fitting are missing, it means the shop forgot to reinstall it in the vertical slats and it's dangling somewhere in the front of the car. Once again, take it back to the shop and let them install it for you.

I have to take the. Car back to have them paint the wheels and to install a new hood pad. So I will have them fix it then. When i was laying around with the sensor i didnt notice anything wrong- broken or frayed wire.Again thank you
