I may be off the mark, but several years back, I had issues with the rear brake lamp at the trunk lid. It went bad couple of times requiring replacements.
Eventually, this problem was probably caused by the deteriorating wiring harness causing this mischief. At least, that is what I think the cause was.
Could it be possible that your issue is related to the harness also ? Just my opinion. Hope the issue gets solved soon.

Thankyou for your help, I am not able to find the problem so I'm gonna have mercedes drain my pocket to diagnose it, I hope it is not the wiring harness but chances are it is,as the seat controls and the remote to open the car only work sometimes. -andy

I don't know it you have solved your problem yet but I had a 1966 Olds 98 convertible several years ago with a similar problem, lights being dimmer on one side of the car than the other. I took it to my regular mechanic who worked mostly on Mercedes Benzes and Jaguars and he fixed it. The fix at the time wasn't too expensive. Perhaps you should speak with a local mechanic who works on foreign cars to see what he says.
good luck.
good luck.
