SL/R129: 1991 300SL

1991 300SL
I found a 1991 300SL. It needs some work, like a new front bumper at least. because the bottom of the bumper is broken off like they hit some speed bumps or something, and a new paint job to make it a nice car. Right now I'd say it's exterior is about a 3 or 4 out of 10.
Is this car worth fixing up? What's a good price for this?
I haven't called the seller yet but by the looks of the exterior I would assume that the rest of the car needs a lot of work... things like the convertible top (I think it has one?) and the interior/seats and engine etc.
So basically I'm new to Mercedes and wonder if this car is worth the effort.
