91 300sl fuel getting to fuel distributor but not getting to the injectors?

I removed the nuts holding the fuel lines to the injectors on all 6 injectors and when I crank the engine no fuel gets to them. I have tried pushing down on the sensor plate to see if fuel would come out but nothing. There is plenty of fuel coming into the fuel distributor and plenty going out of the fuel distributor into the fuel pressure regulator. Do I need a new fuel distributor or does the little black EFA?box on the distributor electrically control some sort of valve to open up and allow fuel delivery to the injectors? Thanks in advance.
