I'm working on a double din console for our car were the head unit can be place high or low on the console and the switches will go into the ash/storage compartment. here are some pics to show you. I may be selling them on our forums and ebay. I'll let you all know how it goes. LZ

 

LZ, nice product, great look, you are a craftsman. The double din is certainly a modernization, and the screen will be in a better viewing position than the Clarion pop out screen that I have in the single DIN

So my 129-01-01 double din is at the hydro dip shop and I can't wait to get it back. soon they will be for sale. LZ

 

Those are some great looking parts! Are you using stock components and altering them or are they a completely new manufacture? I'm very interested!

They are very nicely done, with wonderful craftsmanship and finish! However for me (being a geezer) it is not a modification that holds any interest at all.

I find most installations of modern entertainment systems in older cars to look odd and out-of-place; even when extremely well done as you have accomplished. To my eye Classic cars (even Modern Classic cars like ours) should be kept as close to OEM fit and finish as is possible.

It might help others that are interested if you listed a ballpark price...

My console are more refine and closer to color I'm now using the parrot Asteroid Smart In-Dash 6.2" AM/FM/USB Car Stereo Receiver w/ GPS Nav
do to the space behind the console with this unit you can do most things that a mini pic can do. I will reply to all. LZ

Your Console's look great.
Please take a look at my https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...ablet-4-a.html that rests above the Center Console Eyeglass Compartment where I've located a Bluetooth car adapter.

I can easily remove the computer and dashboard holder as though neither one was ever there.

I have a really nice dark wood console that is in excellent condition and would make a good core or starting point for one of these consoles.
