dashboard*and*switch*lights*gone!
help!
The lights on my dashboard (speedo/rev counter) as well as the all the switches on the centre console/heater have suddenly gone! Is this simply a fuse or something more sinister?!

What is the year of your R 129 and where are you?
Check fuses, in a box near the fire wall on the driver side in Kansas. The box is black with a latched top that, when removed, permits all the front fuses to be viewed. You can also release the engine hood to full verticle, so the visual access is very easy ( One pin on each hinge is pushed to the inside and the hood can go straight up ) The fuses in the trunk ( Kansas ) has 7 additional fuses that cover the hydraulic pump for the tops, windows and roll bar.
There is a reported failure of an electrical resister in the dash cluster that can turn the lights into a flashing display, then total failure. Some of the members in the forum repair and replace, I do not own that skill set, so I would send to a repair group like MBCluster.
Good luck with your darkness problem
