In another world (Benz) there is a wonderful write up with many photos in the "stickies" section under blower motor. Gahda?? was the handle of the blogger.
The task was a step by step removal of air intake plastic, wiper motor and blower motor sensors. I used the time to clean and lubricate everything! The trip took several days and plastic clips and vac hoses and junctions did not all survive, but a host of noises and thermostat sensitivity were much improved.
Is your motor for the blower making a screech or not working all together? As you will find in the blog many other factors are covered in the less than ideal blower motor strap design! Good luck with your replacement.
