What is the best bang for the buck in the 199 R129?

 

I wouldn't bother. Too much money for what is now an old car and performance mods always put more stress on the rest of the car like the transmission and drive shafts and all you'll end up with is bigger maintenance bills in addition to throwing the money away on the mods. Keep it stock, enjoy it, and put the money towards something else.

 

I have a 1997 SL500 and the only mods I have done for performance are K&N Filters and Eisemann Race exhaust. I plan on doing a Nitrous system and gear change to finish it off.
