How much is a top control module worth?
Someone wants to buy the top control module from my 1992 500SL I told him I would research the cost before quoting a price. So how much is it worth?

Assuming this is at the top end of the scale price wise, and from retailers who provide some form of warranty with the part, I would say about $500-600 on a private sale?

Top controller price
You can get them rebuilt at BBA Remanufacturing (866-573-2740) for $375 so I would certainly assume that a person wouldn't pay more than what it costs to have his own defective one rebuilt.

Thanks everyone I offered to sell it to him for $550 USD but he said he was going to have his rebuilt from someone off eBay for under $300 USD so I told him if he changed his mind I would sell it for $450 USD. I don't think he is interested anymore.
