Cost of 28K mile maintenance - yikes

OK, I have a '95 SL500 with only 28K miles. Took it to the Indi for the first serious maintenance ( had the 15K mile maintenance a couple of years ago.) Here is the summary:

Adjust front wheel bearings - $90 (reflects 1 hour labor)
Replace serpentine belt - $105
Replace leaking power steering pump (rebuilt) - $774
Repair slightly leaking transmission cooling line - $118
Replace brake fluid - $110
Replace transmission fluid (with "lifetime" fluid) - $268
Replace interior air filters - $110
Replace rotors and distributor caps (2) - $400
Replace broken windshield washer pump - $90
Repair broken wire in 3rd brake light (trunk) - $90
Perform 30K mile maintenance - $469

So - $2500 or so for the whole deal. I guess I can't complain as the car is 8 years old and this is the only real work I have had done. Hopefully this will carry me for a few more years. Oh - they said the front breaks would need to be replaced in a few thousand miles - may need rotors as well. I told them to wait until Spring. Let my credit card cool down.

How do these numbers compare with others' experience?

Wow, that's expensive. I think I paid around $1000 for my 30k service on my 99 SL500 (my 60k is coming in about a month so i'm bracing for impact).

Okay, well now that i've looked more closely at your cost detail, you did have some maintenence thrown in--mine was just the service.
